Through lectures and hands-on exercises, students explore how neutron methods enhance functional understanding across key areas including proteins, lipids, carbohydrates, structure and dynamics, cells and surfaces, and biomedical applications. The program combines theoretical sessions with computer-based data analysis, literature studies, and beam time proposal writing, preparing participants to actively use and develop neutron experiments in their own life science research.

Literature

Distributed ≥2 weeks before course start.

Lecturers

Hanna Barriga,Tommy Nylander (LU), Trevor Forsyth (LINXS) and invited lecturers.

Examination & Requirements for Final Grade

Literature report; presentation of own research; neutron beam time proposal; hand-in of case study.

Contact

Assoc.
