The PhD-students will be affiliated to the SwedNess research school in neutron scattering and follow parts of that curriculum. The projects should provide researchers based in Sweden with continuous, high-level support in the preparation and realisation of neutron scattering experiments, principally at the ILL. All projects must involve an ILL scientist and a scientist from a Swedish organisation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-Applicationtimeline\">Application timeline:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Deadline for applications: 14 June 2024 (midnight CET)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Selection of projects: 12 July 2024<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-Applicationprocess\">Application process:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>All applications (in English) must be sent by email to <a href=\"mailto:sweden2024@ill.fr\">sweden2024@ill.fr<\/a> by midnight (CET) 14 June 2024.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The application must be based on the completed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swedness.se\/download\/18.3549e77618f0a0417a07105\/1713951217766\/Sweden-ill-phd-application-form_2024.docx\">application formdocx, 501 kB.<\/a> (attached), which includes a description of the project and the applicant\u2019s brief CV.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In case a candidate for the position is already identified by the applicant, a letter of motivation and a CV of the candidate must be provided as part of the application.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The applications will be evaluated in terms of excellence by a panel representing Sweden and ILL.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The selection of projects may take longer than announced above if there are many applications.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-Successfulprojects\">Successful projects:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The PhD student will spend the first 3 years at ILL with an ILL PhD contract. The fourth year will be spent in Sweden for which 47 k\u20ac will be transferred from ILL to the host organisation.
